Locally Trained as a GP in South-East Queensland Dr Ponnusamy has a strong passion for Preventative and Holistic family care.

Dr Ponnusamy completed her primary medical qualification in 2001 and has worked in various Public and private hospitals in Rural remote Tertiary care settings including Greenslopes and Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. She has experience in Women’s health including Antenatal, Postnatal care, Child health, ENT(Ear,nose and throat), Eye care, Skin, Contraception, Sexual health medicine, and management of chronic diseases like Diabetes, Thyroid problems, hypertension, kidney diseases, Asthma, allergies and COPD.

She offers range of services including skin cancer removal, and other surgical procedures including contraceptive implant insertion/ removal, removal of ingrown Toe nail, Mirena insertion and removal.

Outside work, you can see her in local school grounds or in sports field with her 2 children. She enjoys Classical music and traditional cooking.
