Dr Malki Prematillake

Dr. Malki is a kind and considerate Australian trained General practitioner. She worked in Hervey Bay and Toowoomba hospitals as a Resident medical officer before she was selected to the Australian General Practice training programme. She has work experience as a General Practitioner in Toowoomba, Townsville and Ipswich. She graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2002. Dr. Malki is experienced and enjoys all aspects of General practice including Mental health, skin conditions and excisions, Men’s health, chronic disease and preventive medicine. She has a special interest in Women’s and children’s health. She holds Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She provides obstetrics shared care and contraception management including IUD and Implanon insertions. She also has a Diploma in Child health. Outside of medicine Malki enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a mother of three daughters. She also likes cooking and gardening.

Dr Sandy Lee

Dr Lee is a QLD trained GP with interests in all areas of general practice with a broad range of experience. Has completed a masters in public health, diploma in child health and certificate in sexual and reproductive health. Is currently undergoing skin cancer training. Please contact our reception staff with regards to skin checks, minor procedures, IUD and Implanon insertions or removals. Dr Lee strongly believes in mutual respect and kindness between patients and staff and does not prescribe long term drugs of dependence.

Dr Ann Mathews

Dr Ann Mathews graduated from medicine at the University of Queensland in 2013. She then worked across various specialities at Ipswich hospital, Dalby, Esk and Atherton. After leaving Queensland Health, she worked in family owned GP clinics within Ipswich. Ann enjoys all areas of general practice with a particular focus on women’s and children’s health, chronic disease management and palliative care. She has recently become involved in registrar training. Ann has a gentle and empathetic approach. She takes time to listen to your concerns and strives to work collaboratively with her patients to achieve their optimal health outcomes. Ann grew up in Kenmore and is now happy to be raising her own young family here too. She is an active member of the OLR church community. Ann is thrilled to be joining the Berkeley team!

Dr Sunny Modi

Dr Sunny Modi is a specialist GP in Skin Cancer medicine. He initially started working in various hospitals in Queensland, mainly working in General Surgery, prior to gaining his fellowship in General Practice. He has completed Advanced Certificate courses in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermatoscopy through Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) and is now designated as Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor by the College. He has gained wealth of experience in skin cancer procedures including flap repairs and grafts.

Dr Modi also offers circumcision procedure for all ages. He has introduced a novel circumcision technique in Australia for first time.

Dr Namal Prematillake

Dr Namal has over 12 years of work experience in Australian hospitals in Toowoomba, Townsville, Charters Towers and Boonah. He completed his General Practice training in North Queensland. He has diplomas in Emergency Medicine and Child Health. He enjoys variety of presentations in General Practice. His special interests are in child health, indigenous health, chronic diseases and medical emergencies. Out side of work he enjoys travelling around Australia and spending time with his family.

Dr. Sagir Parkar

"Dr Sagir Parkar is a Queensland-trained Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He holds current general and specialist registration with AHPRA. After completing medical studies in India, Dr Parkar trained in Psychiatry in London and worked in various hospitals and psychiatric subspecialties across the UK and achieved his Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry before moving to Australia. Thereafter he completed his Fellowship training in Brisbane. He also holds a Certificate in Adult Psychiatry Dr Parkar has over 17 years experience in Psychiatry and is currently working as a Consultant Psychiatrist, partly within the public health system and partly in private practice. He is experienced in assessing and treating patients with Depression, Anxiety and Panic Disorders, Bipolar Affective Disorder, ADHD, Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and has a special interest in Neuropsychiatry. He brings an empathic approach in his interaction and individually tailors management plans according to each person’s unique set of circumstances and needs. He places a high level of importance on recovery and incorporates relevant non-pharmacological options in the treatment plan. Dr Parkar is also a Senior Lecturer with University of Queensland and Griffith University and is actively involved in teaching medical students at both Universities."

Dr Shenaz Seedat

Dr Shenaz Seedat

Dr Shenaz Seedat completed her Medical degree at The University of Queensland and then underwent Specialist training in Endocrinology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital, completing this in 2010. She had an established practice in Brisbane prior to relocating overseas in 2013, and has recommenced consulting at Greenslopes Private Hospital since her return in December 2020. Having gained a wide range of up-to-date expertise while abroad, Dr Seedat is excited to consult in Brisbane again, offering the highest standard of care to her patients. She has extensive experience in a range of endocrine disorders, including continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy. She believes that optimisation of patient care results from individualisation and education, and actively involves her patients in their healthcare decisions. Dr Seedat enjoys teaching medical students and junior medical staff. She also regularly provides endocrine presentations for medical professionals and is a member of the Endocrine Society (USA).

Dr Tyson Doneley

Dr Doneley is a specialist hip and knee surgeon. Dr Doneley is a Queensland trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. He obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 after completing 8 years of specialist training in Orthopaedics. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of New South Wales in 2002, with Class 1 Honours. Dr Doneley undertook further subspecialist training, completing fellowships in Hip and Knee surgery in Australia and in the United Kingdom at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre. This world-renowned centre has been at the forefront of Total Hip Replacement surgery for over 45 years and is the birthplace of the ‘Exeter Total Hip Replacement”. Dr Doneley is a leader in the field of Anterior Total Hip Replacement surgery and ligamentous balancing using computer navigation in total knee replacement. He is a faculty member as an instructor and course convener in anterior hip replacement techniques and computer navigated knee replacement.

Dr. Soren Nielsen

Soren Nielsen

Soren Nielsen is our allied health professional. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and balance disorders in adults and children. Soren born in Denmark and lived in Australia for over 25 years now. Soren is having a unique professional background that sets him apart from most people in the hearing industry. Soren worked in senior management for three of the largest hearing aid manufacturers in the world. This has given him access to research and development information that is not shared with the general public. This rare knowledge has given him an insight into hearing aids and hearing aid calibration that only very few audiologists know about. His special way of setting up the hearing aids is providing perfect audibility at home, and great speech clarity in noisy places. He has been appointed as Honorary Consul, by her Royal Highness Queen Margaret II of Denmark. This allows him to help and assist the Danish community in Queensland, doing his part in making the world a better place.

Stacey Hayne is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who has a passion for health and nutrition. Stacey graduated from her Masters of Dietetics Studies at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Stacey’s passion for nutrition started when she developed an interest in optimising her own nutrition for her sporting endeavours. Since then, she has developed a love for empowering individuals to achieve a happier and healthier life through food by prioritising realistic strategies and an individualised approach. Special interest areas: Chronic Disease Management, Weight Loss and Weight Management, Healthy Eating, Paediatrics, Diabetes.

Louise Swanson

Louise Swanson

Louise is a qualified Registered Nurse who brings over 12 years of nursing experience to the practice. She provides professional and compassionate care to patients and enjoys all aspects of general nursing.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 2 young children, camping, reading and travelling.

Ruth Collie

Ruth Collie

Ruth has a passion for providing person-centred nursing care to individuals and families. She enjoys all aspects of nursing within general practice, but especially enjoys the management and care of Chronic Disease patients.

In her spare time, Ruth enjoys gardening, patchwork quilting, contributing to community events and spending time with her friends and family.

Debbie Bossy

Debbie is an experienced medical receptionist who is very attentive and goes above and beyond to help our patients. She enjoys her role as every day is different. Debbie particularly enjoys watching our newborn patients grow into little people.

Outside of work Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and trying out new recipes.
